These notes and comments have been written to assist you in understanding the areas of Pattaya and to help you make the correct decision about the location of your proposed next home in Pattaya.
Na Jomtien runs from the south end of Jomtien Beach through Ban Amphur Beach. There is a lot of “confusion” as to the boundaries which are forever being pushed back by real estate developers and brokers.
The fact that Na Jomtien Soi numbers are used in Ban Amphur does not help!
For the purpose of this information this area covers both Na Jomtien and Ban Amphur beaches as far as the start of Bangsaray Beach, and parts of the mainland hillsides on the east side of Sukhumvit running parallel with these beaches.
This area is a popular and expending area with houses, pool villas and condominiums; both low-rise and high-rise towers.
Wherever you are you are just moments from expanses of sandy beaches.
The area benefits from 2 marinas; Ocean Marina Yacht Club Pattaya and Jomtien Yacht Club where boat mooring is available directly in front of your house.
The industrial zones and international schools are easily accessed from here.
The new highway extensions will make travelling to schools, the industrial zones and the airports far more convenient.
There are numerous local Thai restaurants and large food markets in the area.
Na Jomtien area has more than its fair share of good international restaurants and seafood restaurants, notably: The Glasshouse, Bacco Beach, The View Beach Bar & Restaurant, Rimpa Lapin, Sea Falcon, Pan Pan.
If golf is your game you will find Phoenix, Eastern Star and The Royal Thai Navy golf courses easily accessible.
There is a good selection of Local and Bi-Lingual schools in the area with the main international schools in East Pattaya being Tara Pattana International School, Rugby School and Regents International School.
Convenience stores such as 7/11, Family Mart, Lotus Express are now the area.
Banks have now opened on Sukhumvit Road.
